Standup Targets

Fixed vertical targets that register a hit when struck by the ball but remain in place — they don’t drop, retract, or move. The simplest form of Targets on the playfield, standup targets are typically flat plastic or metal plates mounted on leaf switches, arranged individually or in groups to spell words, complete sequences, or guard high-value areas. They require less mechanism than Drop Targets and can be placed almost anywhere on the playfield, making them the workhorse target of pinball design.
