Stationary Standup Targets
The most common form of Standup Targets — a simple fixed-position target that remains in place when struck and does not move, kick back, or retract. A flat plate mounted on a leaf switch, the stationary standup target registers a hit through deflection alone and returns to its resting position by spring tension. Distinguished from active variants like Kicking Targets, Vari-Targets, and Swinging Targets, the stationary standup target is the default when no qualifying adjective is applied. Its mechanical simplicity and compact footprint make it the most widely deployed target type in pinball history.
