Swivel Targets
A pair of targets mounted on a common post that swivels, so that hitting one target causes the other to rotate into its place — and vice versa. The mechanism creates an alternating puzzle: each successful hit changes which target the player can reach next. Swivel targets were used by the Spanish manufacturers Recel and Petaco, appearing on approximately 7 IPDB-cataloged machines. The design is a clever mechanical solution for creating target sequences without the complexity of Drop Targets or Roto-Targets, using simple rotational physics to toggle between scoring opportunities.
