San Marco
Overview
San Marco is the Electromechanical table that RIFLIP — in full, RIFLIP – Organizzazione Costa of Turin — brought out in 1968, near the close of the pure electromechanical age. It is a Novelty machine, with no reward mechanism of any kind: when it appeared, Italian law barred pinball tables from awarding any prize, whether a Cash Payout or a free Replay.[1] Most Italian tables of the moment were unlicensed rebuilds of American Gottlieb, Williams and Bally games. San Marco was the rarer thing: it carries no American donor in the catalogue, an original Italian design rather than a copy.
