Jungle Life

Overview

Jungle Life is Zaccaria’s unlicensed reproduction of Gottlieb’s 1973 Jungle Life, built from scratch as a single-player Electromechanical machine — one of at least three Italian copies of the American game, alongside those of Emmepi and LORI. It comes from a moment before Zaccaria was formally a pinball manufacturer at all: by founder Natale Zaccaria’s own account, the brothers began not by designing games but by refreshing worn imported machines with new artwork, after an economic crisis pushed the cost of American pinballs out of reach.[1] A copy such as this one belongs to that early reskinning trade, before the firm turned to original designs of its own.
