Timed Drop Targets

A Drop Targets variant that automatically resets after a set time period, adding urgency to the task of completing a bank. Where standard drop targets stay down until the game logic resets them — typically after the entire bank is cleared — timed drop targets pop back up on a countdown, forcing the player to knock them all down before the clock runs out. Williams used the mechanism on Space Shuttle (1984) and Grand Lizard (1986), where the time pressure elevated routine target completion into a frantic race against the reset.
