A variant of Spinning Discs combined with a retractable post, allowing the mechanism to pop up from the playfield surface when activated by game logic. When raised, the spinning disc and its central post present a rotating obstacle that deflects the ball unpredictably; when retracted, the ball rolls over the spot unimpeded. This appearing-and-vanishing behavior echoes the design of Pop-Up Targets but adds the chaotic deflection of a spinning disc. Stern’s Avengers: Infinity Quest (2020) featured this mechanism, which serves as both a dynamic obstacle and a dramatic reveal during key game moments.
