Moving Ducks

A type of Moving Targets adapted from the carnival shooting gallery, featuring motor-driven duck figures that travel across the playfield on a track. The player must time their shot to strike a duck as it moves past, combining pinball skill with the familiar fairground challenge of hitting a moving target in a row. Genco’s Big Top Rifle Gallery (1954) featured moving ducks as part of its carnival-themed playfield, translating the classic midway duck shoot into a pinball mechanism — a novelty that blurs the line between pinball and arcade shooting gallery.
