Elevated Shooter Lanes

Elevated shooter lanes are Shooter Lanes that launch the ball onto a raised deck rather than onto the main playfield, so the plunge starts the ball a storey above where it will finish.

The fitting belongs almost entirely to Zaccaria and to one idea the firm pursued in the early 1980s: the two-level machine with a transparent upper playfield above the lower one. Pinball Champ (1982) introduced the layout to the firm’s line — the same title also covers the Bell Games build of the following year^[1] — and Farfalla (1983), Devil Riders (1984) and Robot (1985) each carry the same elevated lane.^[2]
