Candle Targets
Novelty Targets shaped like candles, typically found on machines with horror, gothic, or carnival themes. The sculpted candle form gives the target a decorative presence on the playfield while functioning mechanically like a standard target — the ball strikes it to register a score or advance a game objective. Genco’s Big Top Rifle Gallery (1954) featured candle targets alongside other carnival-themed playfield elements, using the candle shape to evoke the atmosphere of a shooting gallery or sideshow attraction. A rare novelty form, candle targets appeared on very few machines.
