Aliens & Women

Aliens & Women is a 1980 pinball machine from BEM, the Milan firm Bigliardini Elettronici Milano run by Giorgio Masiero, its title pointing to an Aliens subject.^[1] BEM built its tables not from original designs but from recycled American hardware: a surviving Dogs Race was found with its Gottlieb cabinet, front door and coin plate wrapped around mechanics that were otherwise almost entirely Williams.^[2] The game came in two cabinet formats — the compact “testa piccola” (small-head) build the firm favoured, and a full-size “testa normale” version.^[3]
