The schematic part number is W-1094c. Federico Croci, a collector in Italy, owns two 'World Cup' games and believes this game was produced with cabinets left over from the short production run of Bally's 1967 'Boot-A-Ball' because the cabinet structure is identical to that game and especially because his games carry serial numbers beginning with the letter "B" instead of the expected "W" or "WC". The dates we show for 'World Cup' and 'Boot-A-Ball' are Bally's Project Dates, which do not necessarily indicate the sequence in which they were produced. In our Files section is the cover page (only) of a manual dated January 1, 1968 to show that Model number 812 is the 115v game and Model 812A is the 230v game. The owner of the manual states that, inside the manual, the only difference noted between the two models is in reference to the electric motor, with no other differences. The one change in production noted in the manual seems to be how the control moulding (wood plate that supports the joystick) is mounted to the game. The manual indicates this production change was made AFTER serial number 2001. This game is not a pinball but appears on some pinball lists. It is shown here for clarification purposes.
