ipdb.notes
IPDB This model was advertised as having a production run limited to 500 units. This quantity is a defined maximum and does not mean a full 500 would be made. It came with a numbered brass Collector's Edition plaque and an apron plate signed by Jack Guarnieri, Pat Lawlor, John Youssi, and by Peter Ostrum, Julie Dan Cole, and Paris Themmen, three actors who appeared in the 1971 Hollywood movie that inspired this game. First use of mini-insert "light rods" in a game, designed by Pat Lawlor. Factory-installed white rubber rings (opaque, not translucent) were used on this game instead of the black rings found on contemporary pinball machines. MRSP when new: $12,500 "Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory" is Jersey Jack's last game to be manufactured at their New Jersey facility, having moved operations to Illinois in 2020. Willy Wonka is a fictional character from the 1964 children's novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. used
