- IPDB We previously indicated this game was never produced but Federico Croci, a collector in Italy and author of the the book Pinball Machines for Italy, told us he owns one of these games which had a "Sample only" schematic inside of it. He also used to know a German collector who had this game. The schematic expresses coinage in 50 and 100 lire which would make 'Western' the last 2-player game made for export to Italy. We don't find this game listed in available Gottlieb documentation. We suspect the sample games all went to Italy because the USA add-a-ball version of this game is Gottlieb's 1969 'Lariat'. We note that both backglasses display their name diagonally, unlike the replay version, Gottlieb's 1969 'Wild Wild West'. used
