- IPDB The first flipper game by Williams was Williams' 1947 'Sunny' in December 1947. Operators of this period would soon retrofit flipperless games, like Tornado, and these new flippers often ended up in unusual places on the playfield. Compare the elevated wireform track on this game to the habitrails of modern Solid State games. The manufacturer�s original playfield drawing (not shown here) is dated 1/9/47 and signed with initials HEW. It also shows the original game name was 'Rockets'. Williams made a similar game the same month, Williams' 1947 'Cyclone'. used
