    ipdb.notes
'Thorobred' was Bally's last pre-war machine. It is a Free Play console machine. The distributor ad shown here misspells the name as 'Thoroughbred'. Bally documentation shows their last pre-war Model Number was 455 and was assigned to "Sun Ray Mint Vendor - Thorobred". We know their 'Sun Ray' console slot machine is Model 454. It appears a mint vendor was made for the slot machine. Unless the document is in error, we can only speculate that the pressing war effort may have somehow caused the model number 455 to be assigned to both a mint vendor and this horserace game.
