- IPDB Bally documentation indicates Model 277 had a release (to production) date of 8-15-38. It also lists a Model 303 'Thistledowns' with a release (to production) date of 10-19-38. The earliest ad we found for any Thistledowns was a Billboard ad dated Oct-22-1938 (shown here) which seems too soon to be Model 303. Therefore, and until we know more, all of the pictures and matching ads are placed in this earlier listing. used
