ipdb.notes
IPDB There are two long lanes at bottom of playfield connecting a hole at each of the playfield's lower left and right edges to the area of the center ball shooter. As these holes cannot be accessed by a ball in play, these lanes appear to be feeder lanes from the ball lift knob, and we see no other way for balls to enter the playfield in the pictures that we have seen. What's unusual is the necessity for two feeder lanes instead of just one, as the left-side feeder lane would mean a ball is lifted from the far left side using the lift knob on the far right side, suggesting an unusual under-playfield mechanism and a ball trough with a center apex to route balls to surface from the left side of the playfield as well as from the right. More information such as internal pictures of this game is needed to understand the designed purpose of these two lanes. Curiously, there is nothing noticeable on this game that would befit the name 'The Gold Bowl' although an explanation might be given in the instruction card which was not readable in the pictures we saw. used
ipdb.notable_features
IPDB Trap holes (16), Horseshoe lanes (4). This pin table is completely unpainted. The playfield has no point scores assigned to the holes and no wording. The upper apron is fully covered with a blue card showing the game name. The lower left apron has a diamond-shaped card showing the game name and instructions. A ball lift handle, operating vertically, fills the area on the right side of the cabinet front where a ball shooter knob typically would be. The ball shooter is in the top center of the cabinet front, shooting the ball onto the playfield from the area that would be the outhole in other games. The shooter knob pivots to shoot the ball anywhere along the upper playfield and the design of the upper playfield is centered around this, with long horseshoe lanes leading to trap holes. A coin slide is on the left side of the cabinet front. used
