- The Billboard ads shown here from May and June 1941 point to an improved version with up to 18 balls per play. The images show a sign in the game window advertising the 18 balls. The ad from May itemized several features identified as "New". Of those features, the one that probably most easily differentiates the original model from the improved model is the addition of illuminating playfield sidelights.
