- IPDB The Ball Return Feature was identified on other bingo machines as the Hold Feature. We previously showed for this game an unsubstantiated Manufacture Date of 1979. The available Bally documentation indicates Model 1163 has a release (to production) date of 10-9-78 and a schematic wiring part number of W-826-70d. The manual and schematic for this 1978 game both show "Game 1163". The schematic has no date. The game flyer shows copyright 1979. The date of manufacture is stamped on the side of the backbox directly below the stamped serial number. For example, a game with serial number 'TA1633' had the date '7-10-79' stamped on it. A second schematic for Model 1163 but marked for Belgium is in the Files section and has a schematic wiring part number of W-826-70-1b. This schematic does not appear on Bally's Numerical List of Games. See also Bally's 1974 'Tahiti'. A solid state version is Bally's 1979 'Tahiti'. If anyone encounters this game with no date below the backbox or lower cabinet serial numbers, or having a date prior to 1979 (anywhere from 1974 to 1978), please contact us. We seek full backbox, playfield, and cabinet pictures, including a clear close-up of the serial number and the area below it where a date would be. (We also seek pictures of this 1978 version, of course.) used
