- This is a Square Machine.
The manufacturer's ad in Automatic Age, May 1932, page 78 advertises this game as having a walnut cabinet with a solid mahogany playing board. It also states the game has "7 Colored Balls in Colored Pockets" and "Now made with colored balls to match colored pockets. This feature has greatly increased play and profits."
None of the games pictured in this listing have colored pockets, as far as we can tell, unless they meant the red labels assigning point values to each hole. However, the game pictured in this May 1932 ad does not use those labels but shows the point values directly applied to the wood playfield, as does the game pictured in the Billboard ad that we present here as well as all other contemporaneous ads that we have seen.
