- ipdb.notes
- This game resembles Gottlieb's 1970 'Psychedelic' but the playfield layout is different. The cabinet front and internal components appear to be the well-made hardware known to Gottlieb and the cardholder and score reel units are branded with that name. We notice the five score reel windows are in the same place on the backglasses of both games, suggesting an easy reuse of a Gottlieb backbox insert for this game. The coinage is lire, suggesting an Italian manufacturer. The lower right area of the backglass shows a possible artist signature, ".JB".
This game is not to be confused with Unknown Manufacturer's 'Psichedelico', also an add-a-ball game but one for which we have only a backglass picture. The two backglasses have similar artwork, but not identical, while both have a couple dancing in the background, a woman with shoulder-length hair and a man with raised arms.
