An article in The Billboard, Apr-6-1935, pages 69 and 71, titled "Defends Electric Kicker Device As Increasing Skill In Pinball" speaks to a concern that for the new addition of "automatic kickers" to pinball playfields, the skill of pinball was becoming more of a game of chance. The article describes the game play of the then-new Pro-Eleven to defend that pinball was still a game of skill for having these new devices.
