This is Not A Pinball. This is a Williams "FunGame" made for Europe, their attempt to make an AWP game ("Amusement With Prizes", in this case the prize being tokens) as that type of game is popular in Europe. This game uses WPC-95 boards as used on Williams pinball machines of this period. The coin acceptor accepts coins and tokens. Coins go into the cashbox and the tokens go into the storage tube for payout. This machine does not payout in coins. Points earned by the player can be converted into credits or the player can receive one token in the payout bin for each 100 credits. In an online discussion, Scott Slomiany estimated about 50 units were made for test. A German forum believed that about 10 machines were produced for the USA as prototypes and 40 for the German market with most of them sent to Berlin, the majority of them having been later destroyed. The owner stated the German version game pictured here was found in Germany and is now located in France. The Model Number we show for it was obtained from the manufacturer's cabinet sticker. He confirmed the existence of two US versions, one located in the USA and one in Germany. The German backglass presents text as follows: Achtung!! Die ausgeworfene Weiterspielmarke verlaengert nach Wiedereinwurf das Spiel. Der Umtausch gegen Geld oder Ware is strafbar (284 stGB) !! The USA backglass presents this text: FOR AMUSEMENT ONLY A GAME OF SKILL AND STRATEGY
