IPDB This game was never placed into production. Designer Jon Norris told us that he designed this game in late 1995 and the prototypes were made in early 1996, adding:This game was never made because Gottlieb/Premier closed in July 1996. Five prototypes were made and two were dismantled or were never assembled. I forget. They would have been dismantled at the factory to use parts to keep the others going. There is a chance that the other two were never assembled (parts on hand) because this would have been in early 1996 when a lot of costs were being cut. I dont remember which ROM it used. It had an adjustable "Catch-Up" feature, where if one player fell behind by 10 points, their baskets would score more points. Norris recalled seeing at least one of these games sold at the Premier liquidation auction in late 1996. We are aware of two units in the hands of private owners. Videos of one of them are shown in our Additional Media section. Although the two players are positioned at opposite ends of the cabinet to face each other, we do not categorize this game as head-to-head play because the players do not share a ball on the same playfield. We have seen a photo of the whitewood of this game (not shown here) but have been unable to locate its owner. used

IPDB 25 cents per player. Flippers (4). Timed play. Two separate, narrow, and identical playfields are positioned side-by-side and facing in opposite directions from each other, under a large and transparent plastic dome. Each playfield has two flippers at the lower end and an elevated basketball hoop and backboard at the upper end, with a ramp in between. The hoop and backboard oscillate from side to side during play. Points are scored when the flippers propel the ball up the ramp to go airborne and make a basket or hit the backboard. In 1-player games, a replay is earned for beating the replay score or for beating the Champion. In 2-player games, the players compete for the highest score and a replay is awarded to the player who wins. Lights flash and crowd cheers when a basket is made. The two-slot coin door with dollar bill acceptor is on the Red Player's end (the "Red Demons"). The other end is the Yellow Player (the "Yellowjackets"). used
