    ipdb.notes
Conversion of the flipperless game United's 1948 'Tropicana'. The earliest (and only) Billboard ad that we found for this manufacturer is dated Feb-25-1950, page 126. In it, Thames requested to receive flipperless games to convert into new games with flippers. They do not mention the names they would give their converted games. The backglass shown here displays the manufacturer's logo "TACO" near the upper edge of the backglass, a little left of center. Another backglass (not shown here) does not show that logo but shows the words "A TACO Conversion" near the upper edge, but in the center. We don't know the reason for this difference.
