Trap holes (20), Mystic Lines, Gate Open light. The upper arch rebound rubber electrically elevates as a purchased feature of this game, acting as a gate, operated by the Gate button on the lockdown bar. The player can elect to elevate this gate, allowing a plunged ball to pass under it to a spring-cushioned flipper-shaped bumper which rebounds it towards the second row of playfield holes, bypassing the top row. Player can press buttons to rearrange colored sections on card in backglass if these features are purchased: Press buttons before shooting 4th ball. Press buttons before shooting 5th ball. Press buttons after shooting 5th ball.

Bally documentation lists this game as released to production on 4-19-74 and shows it schematic part number there as W-826-55. The schematic itself shows it as W-826-55d. A Factory "Sound Kit" SK-444b (a chime unit) for Model #1017 is pictured in this listing. We don't know if the factory or distributor offered it as an option for extra purchase by the operator or if it was provided upon request as a free-of-charge modification. It was one of many such kits obtained from an old-time operator on the east coast USA and each kit came in a factory paper bag which was very damaged over time (and not shown here). See the Files Section for its wiring instructions. The non-electrical flipper-shaped rebound bumper is labeled under the playfield as the "Rebound Unit". See also Bally's 1974 'Golden Gate 75'.
