ipdb.notes
IPDB The MPU board uses Intel P8035 microprocessor, with game code stored in three 2708 EPROMS. The game includes a self-test feature which allows confirming proper display function, feature lamp function, and coil function. Uses DIP switches on the MPU board for configuration of the game. Uses a matrix not only for lamps/switches, but for coils as well. The Cash Box article shown here states the polyurethane playfield is triple-coated and was specially produced in Europe. It also states this game "is the first Mirco game with electrical and mechanical parts which are interchangeable with parts from Williams Electronics' games." It was reported to us that if the player holds down the flipper buttons while the game is scoring the bonus, the flippers will both flip with each coil chime. We weren't certain if this was a standard occurrence with this production run or if a problem existed with one game. However, it was subsequently reported to us that a PinMame emulation confirmed the flippers will flip during bonus countdown, indicating it's not just a problem of one particular machine. used
