- ipdb.notes
- IPDB We contacted a representative from Bromley in December 2010 who confirmed this game was made in 1990 and was their first game. Recalling from memory, he believes 'Little Pro' was originally made by Harry Williams as well as by other people. He said the one they borrowed as an example to copy was made in the 1940's but had a flat playfield without ramps. He believes its maker was 'Stone' or probably 'Stoner'. He said Bromley changed the playfield by adding ramps but "copied the golfer precisely". He went on to say Bromley made 250 units of this game and sold 250 kits to Konami, not as conversion kits for existing games but as parts kits such that Konami sourced and built cabinets for their 250 units and likely branded the Konami name on them. Finally, he said several other manufacturers have built some version of this game, but believes Bromley was the first to use ramps. We have not yet found a 'Little Pro' made by Konami or by any other manufacturer other than Southland Engineering, Incorporated's 1964 'Little Pro'. Other manufacturers could have given their versions a different name. used
