    ipdb.notes
Pace used the term "pin table" to describe this 1938 console slot machine. Unlike their 'Paces Races' console slot machine (made from 1934 to 1937), this King Pin console has a plunger, a shooter lane, a ball to shoot, and a small pinball-type playfield with rollovers for the ball to set the odds for play. An ad pictured here uses the phrases, "King of all Pin Tables', "Skill Counts", "Skill Fun", "Strictly Legal in Most Localities", and "Opens New Territory". Those phrases, plus the fact that they include the word 'Pin' in the name 'King Pin' was an attempt to get their slot machine console games into pinball-only territory.
