    ipdb.notes
This is not a pinball machine. This is a device called an "electronic upright" or just "upright". Also called a "flasher type" slot machine. It does not payout cash. The credit meter increments instead, allowing for continued play without insertion of additional coins. Bally announced this game in Cash Box, May-21-1960, page 59 as having "returned to production" of their 'Jumbo' game from 1959. This new game shows the name "Jumbo '60" on the backglass. It does not appear in Bally's list of Model Numbers for games of 1960. The flyer shown here presents a game with a push button on the front. We don't know if this 1960 model also was made with a handle instead of a push button. See also Bally's 1959 'Jumbo (handle console model)'. See also Bally's 1959 'Jumbo (button console model)'.
