The [[location:italy/rm/rome]] firm of [[person:antonio-manili]], trading as [[corporate-entity:mm-computer-games]], spent the later 1980s reproducing [[technology-generation:solid-state]] Gottlieb tables for the Italian market.[1] Like the Monte Carlo game it copies, *Joker* is a [[theme:gambling]] table set on a [[theme:casino]] floor and built around the [[theme:playing-cards]] deck — Gottlieb's original laid that floor out in banks of [[gameplay-feature:drop-targets]] and a [[gameplay-feature:multiball]] mode,[2] which the Rome shop reissued under the name of the deck's wild card.
