ipdb.notes
IPDB The game being played on the backglass is known as croquet. The locking metal back door slides downward to access the backbox. However, upon sliding downward, the barrel of the metal lock hits the wood frame of the backbox bottom thus preventing the door from a full removal, leaving it hanging in its service position. Reportedly, once the backbox insert is hinged outward for servicing, it is easy for the top edge of the door to damage the rotor wipers on the player unit and the match unit. To avoid this, the operator might risk bending the door outward (it's somewhat bendable, we are told) until the lock barrel clears the backbox frame, allowing the door to slide down fully and out of the way, or the operator might remove the lock. Either workaround is a possibly annoyance to the operator. used
ipdb.notable_features
IPDB Flippers (2), Pop bumpers (2), Slingshots (4), Standup targets (4), Roto-target (1). The lower ends of the "H" and "E" top lanes each have a small metal nail embedded fully there, with only its small rounded head above the playfield for the ball to touch, effective in deflecting the ball's path as it exits this lane, presumably to prevent it from dropping directly into the lower playfield. The close-up pictures show each nail can be placed in the operator's choice of three pre-drilled positions. The relays on this game are not identified with cardboard labels. Instead, their letter designations are stamped in yellow on the metal relay bracket, hidden behind the spring. Additionally, the schematic diagram does not show the color coding of the wires. The line cord has a two-prong plug for 220v. The transformer has a tap to convert to 110v if needed. France later made mandatory three-prong plugs. Inside this game a two-prong service outlet was installed either by the factory or by an operator. We are told the basic soldering irons sold in France today have three-prong plugs but, unlike the USA, the ground prong is female, and this difference will allow these soldering irons to operate in this two-prong service outlet. Maximum displayed point score is 1,999 points per player. Replay wheel maximum: 26 Sound: bell, knocker. used
