- IPDB The original version O. D. Jennings' 1934 'Football' had problems that resulted in this improved version. The image shown here is from the Jennings in-house publication Tips and Topics and indicates the game had been "improved 100%". A comparison of a few picture ads appearing before and after the introduction of the Improved version show no difference on the playfield between the two versions. However, the two-tone cabinet sides in the "before" ads show three panels in sequence as light-dark-light while the Tips and Topics ad shows the panels as dark-light-dark. We don't know if this was an intended difference. used
