- IPDB We cannot find any evidence that Chicago Coin made this game. This listing may be an artifact of pre-internet lists as we see this game in other long-time pinball resources and, like us, they have no supporting information for it. This game, dated March 1965 here and in the other pinball resources, is not mentioned in the Billboard and Cash Box magazines during 1965. An ad placed by Chicago Coin in The Billboard , May-29-1965, page 57 recapped their recent games, including the 2-player bat game 'Big League' from April 1965 and 'Criss Cross Pop-Up' from December 1964. This 1-player 'Double Play' game, if it was produced in March 1965, would have appeared in this ad. It's conceivable that Chicago Coin planned a game with this name but killed it upon hearing of Williams' 1965 'Double Play' bat game which premiered in April 1965. In that same month, Chicago Coin came out with their game 'Big League'. We retain this Chicago Coin listing because of its appearance on several pinball lists and in case any information turns up on it. used
