IPDB Federico Croci, a collector in Italy, showed us the Automat article presented in this listing. He doesn't know if the trade show in the picture was in Milan or Rome but says it was from 1979 as he has all Automat issues for 1980 and this picture is not among them. In the trade show picture are two examples of this game. The one on the left has score reels and we believe the one on the right has a digital score display, although the image resolution is too poor to be certain of this. Federico has seen no more than two examples of this game, both were EM. The backglass in our sole photograph is signed by the artist as 'Mike 79". It shows an empty round circle to the right of the score reels. This is where an LED display would appear such that, at the start of a game, the LEDs light to simulate a "spin", it stops on a number, and that number represents the millions required to reach the high score. This device can be seen on Nordamatic's 1978 'Atlantis'. Federico speculates that this LED unit was an operator option because it used a connector and also a plug was included to be fitted in that connector if the unit was missing. Also, the score reel windows in the photograph appear to have been cut by hand which may indicate that an operator had removed a factory-installed LED score display. As the trade show photo seemed to indicate two different backglasses, it's possible this game was available with or without electronic displays, as some other manufacturers had been doing by this time. used
