This Deluxe model gives replays and number Match. The novelty play model is Williams' 1961 'Batting Champ' and has no Match feature. An unexplained variation of the backglass is pictured in GameRoom Magazine Vol 10 No. 6, March 1994, page 9. The picture is low resolution black-and-white, but its Canadian owner explained there were definite silkscreening differences, most notably that there are only six bats, not seven, lying on the ground as well as the lack of a shadow cast by the outfielder at top right. The backglass as pictured was not installed in a machine and the owner did not explain how he obtained it or when. The backglass, which does indicate 'Deluxe', is branded with the manufacturers name which we would not expect if copies of the glass were commissioned by arcades where rows of the same baseball game might be on location. If anyone knows anything about this "6-bat" glass or can photograph one, please contact us.
