Count Down

Count Down is a single-player Electromechanical table by Pasini of Bologna. The name was a common one in the Italian trade: Novamatic’s Count Down (1970) and LORI’s Count-Down were separate machines from other makers rather than versions of Pasini’s game. Pasini’s own output sits in the early 1970s, anchored by its dated sibling Old Gold of 1970.^[1] The firm belonged to the wave of Bologna makers that emerged after a 1965 Italian law banned pinball as a form of gambling,^[2] a shop trade that stayed legal by building tables paying out only in Replay free games instead of cash.^[3]
