This listing represents any of a number of small, nameless pinball games found at carnivals. Typically there are twenty or more lined up in a row, individually numbered. They accept no coins. Each player chooses one of them and pays the attendant to compete in a race against the other players to shoot the balls repeatedly and quickly to advance their numbered horse (or dog, etc.) on the backboard behind the attendant. The winning player earns a prize from the attendant or more tickets for eventual redemption for a prize. One such game that is a little more elaborate and does have a name for it is Original Flipper. Another game pictured here allows players to compete against each other to complete bingo cards.
