Top - The words 'Camel Caravan' appear on the light playfield background color in a slightly curved style and with a curved arrow pointing upward. The two rollover buttons nearby are white. The flippers are white.
Middle - The words 'Camel Caravan' appear in a straight line on a red banner. The rollover buttons and flippers are red. Each flipper has a black post nearby but these posts may be after-factory additions.
Bottom - The words 'Camel Caravan' appear in a straight line on a red banner. The flippers are white. The rollover buttons are white and each have a black rectangle nearby. The image shown here has had some of the black ink removed from each rectangle to reveal the words 'Selects Caravan'. We have seen an example of this game (not shown here) where the black rectangles are fully intact.
We don't know the reasons for these playfield differences nor how many of each playfield were made.
'Camel Caravan' was a popular musical variety radio program of the 1930's and 40s sponsored by Camel cigarettes who, in 1949, also sponsored a new TV news program called the Camel News Caravan which was replaced in 1956 by the Huntley-Brinkley Report.
