ipdb.notes
IPDB The game in the flyer and all the games pictured here have the so-called "inverted backbox" where the front frame is wider at the bottom than at the top, as if "upside-down" from typical Bally backboxes, leaving a small ledge at the base of the backglass. Federico Croci, a collector in Italy, reports that he has seen a lot of Amigo games in Italy with this inverted backbox (and all of them had German instructions, suggesting a popularity in Germany.) Perhaps the entire production run was this way. This backbox showed up again on a test game for Bally's 1976 'Flip Flop'. Bally Production Run data indicates that 4,325 units were produced of this game. Their typical serial numbering scheme would mean that their last 'Amigo' game would have serial #5325. Pictured in this listing is a game having serial #5663. It has no discernible differences from other games in the production run. used
