In the Billboard article shown here from December 1951, United Manufacturing Company referred to this game as "Universal's Across The Board" and as a "jumbo pin game" but does not specifically define why, and also indicated that this is a multiple-coin game that awards replays. There is no mention of flippers. We have found no images of this game. The Operator Adjustments Sheet in this listing depicts this game as a horserace game and a distributor ad in Billboard Feb-23-1952 page 93 lists this game as a One Ball. We previously showed a date for this game of September 1952. The Billboard article from December 1951 states that shipments of this game have been scheduled but does not say when. The earliest distributor ad we found was in Billboard Dec-29-1951 page 47. Elsewhere on page 47, an article dated December 23 indicates that United's 500 employees took a break from volume production of this "jumbo pin game" to have a Christmas party and would resume volume production on December 26.
