- Flipcommons AI Descriptions (Manufacturer)Heighway Pinball was a Welsh manufacturer founded in 2012 by Andrew Heighway in [[location:uk/wal/merthyr-tydfil]]. Its calling card was a thin, low cabinet whose playfield could be removed and swapped, so an owner could keep several games in one machine at a lower price. The company's first table was *[[title:full-throttle]]* (2015), a motorcycle racer, and its best-known game was the licensed *[[title:alien]]* (2017). Heighway closed its factory and went into liquidation in 2018; the rights to *Alien* were acquired by [[manufacturer:pinball-brothers]] — founded by some of Heighway's own investors — who carried the game forward.[1]

Heighway Pinball was a British company, established in 2012, that manufactured pinball machines. It was founded by Andrew Heighway in Merthyr Tydfil.[1] The first table by the company, Full Throttle, was released in 2015. [...] The company's second machine Alien is based on the movie of the same name and its first sequel Aliens. Production shipment began on 14 February 2017. [...] They originally announced that their first game would be Circe's Animal House, but later chose to re-theme if from Greek mythology to a motorcycle racing game called Full Throttle. [...] By April 2018, Heighway Pinball had closed the doors on its factory,[16] laid off its employees, and was liquidated soon afterward.[17][15] The rights to the Alien machine were acquired by Pinball Brothers, a company founded in June 2017 by some of Heighway pinball's investors, who began manufacturing as second run of the game in 2021.
