Rotating Arrow Bumpers
A type of Bumpers featuring arrow-shaped elements that rotate when struck by the ball. The spinning arrow adds visual drama to each collision and may direct the player’s attention toward a particular shot or lane. Gottlieb’s Four Seasons (1968) featured rotating arrow bumpers during the Electromechanical era, when designers frequently experimented with novel bumper variations. A rare playfield element, they appeared on only a small number of IPDB-cataloged machines, blending the deflection function of a standard bumper with the kinetic visual feedback of a spinning indicator.
