Kinetic Diverters
A type of Diverters that uses the ball’s own kinetic energy to change position, rather than relying on a solenoid or motor. When the ball strikes the diverter, the force of impact pushes the mechanism into its alternate position, redirecting the next ball that arrives along a different path. This self-actuating design creates a naturally alternating pattern — each ball resets the route for the one that follows. Jersey Jack Pinball’s Guns N’ Roses (2020) employed kinetic diverters, using the ball’s own momentum as the switching mechanism in a design that requires no electrical actuation at all.
