Carousel Roto-Targets
A variant of Roto-Targets in which the targets are mounted on a circular, carousel-style rotating assembly rather than a simple spinning disc. The carousel arrangement fans multiple targets around a central axis, cycling them past the player as the mechanism turns. Gottlieb designer Ed Krynski introduced the feature on Dancing Lady (1966), which carried five carousel roto-targets on its playfield — the first pinball machine known to use this configuration. Like all roto-targets, the carousel variant demands precise shot timing during the Electromechanical era’s mechanically driven play, but its distinctive circular motion gives the mechanism a visually striking presence on the playfield.
