Bidirectional Thrust Magnets

A more complex variant of Thrust Magnets that can propel the ball in two directions along an axis rather than one. Where a standard thrust magnet adds momentum in a single direction, a bidirectional system uses alternating polarities or paired electromagnets to push the ball either way — left or right, forward or backward — depending on game logic. Sometimes called magnetic slingshots, these mechanisms require more advanced hardware to rapidly reverse the magnetic field’s direction, giving designers a versatile tool for redirecting the ball along programmable paths without any visible mechanical contact.
