A variant of Spinning Discs equipped with an embedded magnet and capable of spinning in both directions. The bidirectional rotation, combined with the magnet’s pull on the steel ball, creates a wider range of unpredictable outcomes than a standard spinning disc — the ball may be grabbed, accelerated, or flung off at angles that change depending on the disc’s current direction and speed. Stern’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2020) featured this mechanism on its premium and limited-edition models, adding a layer of magnetic chaos to an already dynamic playfield element.
