2-in-Line Drop Targets
Two Drop Targets arranged in a line rather than a traditional Bank Drop Targets configuration. The “in-line” designation distinguishes targets placed in a sequential path — typically along a lane or narrow channel — from the side-by-side arrangement of a standard bank. IPDB catalogs a single machine with this configuration: Joust (1983) by Williams. The paired in-line targets created a two-stage gate that the player had to clear sequentially as the ball traveled through the lane.
